Hi, I need to know, once the trial period of 14 days completes, will I be entitled to a partial refund later on, if supposedly I decide to not continue with the website or decide to change the domain to something else (after suppose 2 months from the date of purchase).

    WP.com: Yes
    Correct account: Yes

  • Hi there,

We don’t offer a trial period on WordPress.com, as you need to pay for an upgrade plan up front, the moment you add it to your site.

What we do offer is a 14 day refund period, so should you decide in the first 14 days you no longer want the plan, you can cancel it for a full refund.

We don’t offer partial/pro-rated refunds should you cancel outside of the refund period, though.

Regarding domains specifically, when you register a domain, you’re paying a domain registry for the exclusive right to use that specific domain for one year. Once registered, the domain cannot be changed later, so if you decided to use a different domain instead, you’d need to register it as a new domain, in addition to the one you already own.

For domains our refund period is only 96 hours, because that’s also the refund period we have with the registry where we register the domain for you. If you cancel a domain you’ve owned more than 4 days, you won’t receive a refund for the domain.

Let me know if you have any questions about this.
