  Sir I currently purchased a plan from GoDaddy and I am on the free plan I’m WordPress.
  I write blogs and for monetization do I need to upgrade to premium plan?
  If I don’t need to upgrade then how to monetize the website?

  Hi there,

  There are various ways to earn an income from your site explained in the page linked above. However, many of them are possible even on the free plan, so whether or not you need a plan will depend on exactly what you want to do.

  However, if you bought a plan from GoDaddy it means you likely already have WordPress site hosted on their servers. There you’re using the open source WordPress software found on WordPress.org. That is something completely different from WordPress.com, and you cannot buy any WordPress.com plan for a site hosted at another provider like GoDaddy.
