Query to upgrade to Personal Plan

    I want to know whether my site will have a pre-installed wordpress and a cpanel if I buy the personal plan or will I still be connected to the wordpress.com . My main aim is to create a new site but since all my data is on wordpress.com blog I am confused about the plans of upgrade.

    The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

    A Personal Plan is a part of WordPress.com, you can read about them here Plans
    Are you trying to move to a Self-Hosted WordPress site or you would like to have a WordPress.com Personal plan?

    IF you choose WordPress.com Personal plan, you will have the software installed no need to work around the Cpanel, you can just start using directly.

    I would like to have self hosted WordPress site. Which plan would you recommend in budget?
    In other words I want control over my widgets, themes and plug-ins. Is this possible in Personal Plan?
    After buying the Personal Plan, will I be able to make website similar to this one: http://www.thedapperlabel.com

    Hi Again!
    Looking at the site, you can make a similar site with Personal plan too, not exact but on similar lines, you can have a look at themes here
    https://wordpress.com/themes

    Self Hosted and WordPress.com are different altogether if you have a look at the Difference, they are all Self Hosted, you will have to find a suitable Hosting Provider and set up the software and everything, to get help you will have to use
    WordPress org Support

    This site is just for WordPress.com where the Sites are hosted with WordPress.com itself, no need to set up software or anything, just start configuring the features.

    To be able to have all theme options and Plugin options you will have to go for a WordPress Business Plan
    which gives you Live Chat option too.

    If you would like, you can start with a WordPress Personal Plan, set up a basic site, looking at the comparable site, you can surely set up almost similar with a Personal Plan, and later if the need goes, you can switch to Premium or Business Plan.

    If you create a self hosted WordPress.org site, you won’t need a WordPress.com plan — they are only available for WordPress.com sites. The differences between the two are explained in more detail here:

    As pavanraheja mentioned, the Business plan now provides the option to upload custom themes and install plugins. If you were thinking of creating a WordPress.org site to access these features then the Business plan may provide what you need.

    I’d recommend looking for a similar theme in our Theme Showcase:

    That will give you a better idea if what is achievable if you decide to keep your site on WordPress.com.
