  Hello,

  I am wondering if I can work on the design implementation of the site while somebody else owns the domain. When the site is ready, how would we get that domain that they purchased?

  What domain and where? Are you talking about a site hosted here at WordPress.com? Domains can be transferred to different owners by the owner contacting the Registrar where the domain was purchased.

  Ah sorry that wasn’t a very specific question but you answered it anyways.

  Domain Transferring was what I was looking for.
