    Is it possible to customize using the actual WordPress software program? By actually hosting a page and redirecting it to this domain? I don’t understand why we are so constricted to such few themes and options.

    What you are asking really sounds like you would be more interested in self-hosting a wordpress.ORG site yourself. Since you already have a domain yourself, I’d say that you would be able to take that with you over to your own, self-hosted website.

    We are limited to the themes and options available to us, because this is a free, mass-blogging platform, so they have to restrict some things for the security of the millions of blogs they are hosting.
