Question about block editing mode

    hi
    i worked for years with WP classic editor, and i really don’t feel good with the new one.
    maybe something about old dogs and new tricks…
    maybe you can help me with one specific problem:
    i work with firefox. when i press ctl+b, if some text is highlighted it gets bold.
    if no text is highlighted it opens the bookmark menu.

    when i work with block, the classic block, even when i highlight text, ctk+b opens the bookmark menu.

    Hello there @nirstern – I’ve moved your question to its own forum thread as it is always better to do that rather than adding a new post onto someone else’s old thread.

    Thanks for bringing this up. Could you please try to log out of WPcom and then clear your browser’s cache and cookies, which will also log you out of any other website you’re logged into, and then log back in and see if the issue continues, making sure that both 3rd party cookies and javascript is enabled. Sometimes clearing one’s browser solves issues, but if not, the next step is disabling any browser add on to see if that makes a difference.

    Let us know how that goes and if you are still having an issue, please post on which site this is happening on and your set up, device, OS and browser versions.
