Question about closing account

    Hi,
    If I delete my wordpress.com account which is still not verified with my site domain, will it erase my site on the wordpress.org account which is verified?

    WP.com: Yes
    Correct account: Yes

    Hi,

    Just to clarify, WordPress.org does not host sites. It is merely the home for the WordPress open-source software project. Your site is hosted with a webhost such as Bluehost or GoDaddy or KnownHost.

    WordPress.com vs. WordPress.org

    That said, deleting your WordPress.com site will not delete your WordPress site hosted elsewhere. However, it will break your Jetpack plugin connection. So you will need to set up a new WordPress.com account if you wish to continue using Jetpack.
