Question about domain availability

  Hello,

  I want to make a website with the .gr domain – for which I get a note at the first setup steps that ‘.gr domains are not offered on WordPress.com.’

  My question is that if I purchase on my own a domain like: ‘domain.gr’ – will it then be accepted by wordpress ?

  I want to definitely have a .gr domain and if wordpress cannot work with it I don’t want to invest time in building a website here,

  If you purchase that domain elsewhere you can use it here with a WordPress.com site by mapping it. A Personal plan or higher would be required. https://wordpress.com/support/domains/map-existing-domain/
