-
hello
i have couple of questions .
1 – how can i change the fav icon ? . . the icon that exist next to the url in the address bar , im using WP on the web , not on my own server .. so is it possible , or i must install WP on my server to be able to change that ?
2 – i want to remove the signature from the theme footer , and instead to add my signature next to it , is that possible , or again i need to have WP on my server ?
finally , if i have Godady account , i will be able to do that ?

1. If you’re on wordpress.com, domain-mapped or not, you are on wordpress.com, hence the favicon, maybe CSS can help, but I doubt it. To change the icon, see #2
2. You need to download WordPress form wordpress.org and run it on your own server. I don’t think CSS can help you here either.
3. If you subscribe to hosting services from GoDaddy, the answer is yes.
And all this trouble just to change the favicon and the signature? -
thanks fella !
actually im not into CSS , but i can play with open source and find my way :) , so i guess i ll find it on Godady ..
and yes im sorta perfectionist .. so these little things get me freaked out :)
nice page there , helpful really .. and you are using the same theme as mine :D -
You can’t get a custom favicon on WP.com. The only people who have it are the VIP blogs. On an independent WP blog you can certainly have one, and remove footers etc, although it’s considered good form to give credit to the theme designer and the software. If you stay here you can hide the footer, but I don’t think you can put in a new one.
