Question about follow button
-
Greetings,
Need info to answer one of my followers. After one follows, does the follow tab remain? The tab remains for this follower. Is this right? Is it supposed to disappear or change to following? I do not know how to answer this.
Thanks.
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

You click the follow button on the Admin bar to follow a blog. If you click it again you unfollow the same blog. Read all about following blogs here > http://en.support.wordpress.com/following/
On the bottom of your Admin page you will find a link to the Learn WordPress.com blogging Tutorial prepared by Staff. http://learn.wordpress.com/
The support documentation is all found at the Support link http://en.support.wordpress.com which is also on the bottom of your Admin page.

I know the function of the follow button and how to follow & unfollow accordingly. As observed from a non WordPress.com user, the follow tab remains unchanged when they clicked on follow, unlike when one likes or follows on Facebook & Twitter. My question is does this follow tab change when one follows, or does it not change?

It ought to change and if it doesn’t then the person has a browser related issue. Working through intermediaries in support issues is not a good plan at all. If this person has a WordPress.com username account then they are the person who ought to be posting here. Please pass that along to them.

Thanks for info. As mentioned earlier, this follower is a non WordPress.com user. As webmasters, we all should be able to provide answers for our followers when asked nicely (not so sure about not being asked nicely) in my opinion. That’s why these forums are a beautiful thing! Glad to hear this is a browser issue.
Cheers,

Non WordPress.com users do not have an Admin bar at the top of the blog with a follow blog button to click. Only those with WordPress.com username accounts have that button.
If you would like a follow button to appear on the bottom right hand corner of your site for those who do not have WordPress.com accounts go to > Settings > Reading and scroll down to Follower Settings:
These settings change emails sent from your blog to followers.
Logged out users __ Show follow button to logged out users.Checking this will present a follow button to logged out users in the bottom corner of their screen.
