Question about graphics

  At one time, I was offered by a company to put up a graphic advertisement along the sidebar of a blog of mine on wordpress.com . It’s not self hosted. They wanted me to put the clickable graphic in the sidebar widget. It was for a freelance book editing service, nothing edgy. They offered to provide the graphic and the clickable link to their website.

  To my knowledge, I could put clickable book covers along the sidebar of my blog as an advertisement to other authors (not something I currently do), but I wasn’t sure if the above example is allowable per WordPress. Is it?

  I looked at https://en.support.wordpress.com/monetize-your-site/ and I didn’t see anything saying no, but I wanted to double check.
