  What does this privacy setting mean – I would like my links to be public, without passing through hiderefer.com

  I wouldn’t use hiderefer.com at all. That setting you reference just means that the destination of your links will show up. If you link to a blog, that blogger will see YOUR blog in his referrers.

  If you use Hiderefer.com it won’t. He’ll never know where that link came from. To me, it looks spammy and suspicious.

  Thanks. I value the opinion of knows what it is. Spammy and suspicious is not an image I want to portray.
