question about mapping new WP blog as a subdomain

I have a premium blog here already and recently started a new woodpress blog. I’ve been reading about adding it as a sub domain for $13. If I do that will it have all the same customizations, space etc as the premium blog? Because other wise I’d have 2 $99 fees for two separate premium blogs? Also, the other blog is called watchandwhirl.wordpress.com. Would it still keep the title? What address would I be giving to people? Would it be the same but show up different in the browser?

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

No. Purchasing a domain mapping upgrade only gives you the right to a new whatever.yourdomain.com address. It changes nothing else at all.

Each upgrade applies only specifically to the blog from which it was purchased.

Then what is the advantage to having a second blog as a subdomain rather than a stand alone blog? Would the subdomain still have wordpress in the address? or would it be, in my case watchandwhirl.com? When i read about it it said that if it was subdomain and no matter the title of the blog it would still come up with the main domains address? When I moved my domain here from blog.com and hosted it at hover it cost me $13 here and there. i was thrown when I saw that there was a $99 fee coming up in April. I don’t think i ever known about that as a yearly fee. Is it an upgrade to something i haven’t experienced yet. What would happen if chose not to pay that? My funds are limited. If I don’t pay it how will it effect my blog as it stands now?

It builds brand awareness of the master domain. That’s all I can think in terms of advantages.

Go to your Upgrades and cancel any autorenews you have. Problem solved. You will have to remember to renew your domain and mapping annually but you won’t be on the hook for $99.

I know I’m probably being a pest, but what is the difference between renewing my site for $13 and what are the benefits the $99 gets me I don’t already have? Do I now have the benefits of a $99 blog? Would anything change with what I am able to do now without renewing for $99? Would I lose something if I didn’t renew for $99. If i knew there were benefits I don’t have now i would renew for $99. These answers don’t really give me the answer to know how to choose. Why was there no mention of this when I moved my blog here? I don’t remember anything about it.

Nope, not being a pest at all. :)

Having an inquisitive mind can be a good thing.

I do have a few questions myself actually:

You say you have two blogs? (mynameisjamie.net and watchandwhirl.wordpress.com ) Curious as to why you created a second one? Was there something in particular you wanted to accomplish?

Now, I hope I can answer some of the questions you have.

    1. Would it still keep the title?
You can change the title of the site by going to Settings > General. Do keep in mind that is the title of the site but not the URL.

    2. What address would I be giving to people?
That would depend on which one you want to use more often. Essentially what will be the primary site you will publish your thoughts to?

    3. Would it be the same but show up different in the browser?
It would not be the same. Think of it a little like Lego characters. You can have two Emmets but each one has its own customizations.

If you wanted to see, or know, more about the plans available and what they do, you can check out http://store.wordpress.com/plans/ for a bit more information.
