Question about mapping with a GoDaddy registered and hosted domain
-
Hey everyone, here’s the scoop:
I registered stevencourville.com with GoDaddy and have it hosted there as well. My intention was to create a WordPress site and direct stevencourville.com to it.
Not paying attention, I went through the process of mapping my domain to my now deleted WordPress.com blog – stevencourville.wordpress.com. (I had actually wanted to use WordPress.org).
So I deleted my domain stevencourville.com from my “domains” on my WordPress.com dashboard and proceeded to delete the blog entirely. I also uninstalled WordPress from GoDaddy and reverted nameservers back to default.
When I go to stevencourville.com, I get the “Warning! Domain mapping upgrade for this domain not found…” error.
It’s been about 4 hours, do I simply have to wait more time for the changes to be reflected? I’d like to eventually use stevencourville.com for a WordPress.org site.
Thanks in advance!

If the name servers are pointed back to Godaddy you should be OK once the changes propagate – but remember you need to install WordPress.ORG software back on Godaddy and also make friends at WordPress.ORG since they are the keepers of the software you will be using
