Question about Offline Mode

  Hi,

  I had a question if you guys have an offline mode? I would like to change the website theme for my business website but I know if I press the ‘Activate’ button it will change my site instantly. Please advise on how to edit my website offline or in a mode where it does not change it instantly.

  Hi there,

  The closest to an “offline mode” offered by WordPress.com is the ability to locally store posts or pages in the app.

  The best solution for what you’re trying to do is to click “Open Live Demo” after clicking the theme on the theme selection page, and then “Try & Customise”. That way, only you will be able to see the design, and it won’t be updated to all your viewers until you click “Activate”.

  Hi, I have another question.

  Is it possible to take down my website and have it be seen as “under construction” to the public?

  The point in me trying to do this would be to not have everyone see my site while it is being edited live.

  Would this be possible to do?

  https://propertyprepservices.wordpress.com/ is set to private. You can’t get more “offline” than that.
