Question about Personal Plan

How many sites am I allowed to have with a Personal Plan, and if I can have more than one, can I also link a second domain to that second site?

I did some digging but couldn’t find anything related to my question.

    Any help is appreciated.

  • A plan purchased on WordPress.com is eligible for only one site. This applies for all plans from WordPress.com Personal plan and above.

Although, you can have any number of free WordPress.com sites.

Does it clarify things for you? Feel free to get back if you have questions.

Thank you for the quick reply @strikebuys. That’s somewhat curious, because there’s clearly the ‘Add New Site’ link listed, and it does offer the option to create another site.

And one other question, if you have time…
Is there a way to opt out of a site being listed on the Reader?

    Thanks for your time.

  • it does offer the option to create another site.

You can create as many free WordPress.com sites on your account, and buy as many premium WordPress.com site (Personal, Premium or Business plan site) as you want, but one purchase will be valid for only one site.

Yes, there is a way to hide your blog from being shown on the WordPress.com Reader. You can set the blog’s privacy to private here: https://wordpress.com/settings/general

Doing this will block search engines and the Reader from pulling your site’s posts. You can learn more about it here: https://en.support.wordpress.com/settings/privacy-settings/#privacy-options

You could also use the “Password protected” option for the posts/pages you do not want to appear on the WordPress.com Reader. You can learn about it here. https://en.support.wordpress.com/post-visibility/

Hope this helps. Let us know if you have questions.

Thanks again for your response and information regarding the number of sites I can have.

I am aware of the setting option you mentioned, but was looking for something that was more specific, and would allow me to opt out of the Reader listing without that effecting how the site was indexed by search engines.

None the less, thanks again for your efforts.

  • As far as I know, there is no such feature on WordPress.com.

I am also tagging the post with “modlook” for the WordPress.com staff’s attention. They can confirm this for you.

  • Hi –

strikebuys has explained the possibilities for Reader. The only other option is to mark your site as mature.

    Mature Content

The Reader is an excellent way for folks in the community to find your content. I am interested as to why you want to hide it from there and not Google?

    Are you inquiring about dailyblawg.com?
