  If I just buy a domain will I have the ability to put plugins on wordpress?

  I don’t want to buy the premium service if i dont have too just the domain name

  Hi fitbitband,

  Unfortunately, plugins are not available for WordPress.com blogs, regardless of which customizations and/or upgrades you purchase. You would need to self-host your own WordPress site in order to have the option.

  Please refer to the support documentation that spells out the differences between WordPress.com vs WordPress.org.
