Question about Posts

  I tried to add the “Recent Posts” widget to my blog.

  When I selected a test Post for viewing, extra wording was added…it appears to be telling the reader where the post came from and the date of the post.

  Is there any way to eliminate or hide this extra wording?

  The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  No. All you can is what the options provided in the widget allow you to do and nothing more or less than that. http://en.support.wordpress.com/widgets/recent-posts-widget/
