Question about sharing items.

    I have the email and print buttons under the Sharing thing. Obviously it also offers facebook and twitter and a bunch of other things I have never heard of.
    My question is that I might be misunderstanding it. I refuse to have anything to with social media myself, but does one have to have accounts with any of those services in order for the sharing buttons for them to work for readers who want to share?

    “The Social Media Icons Widget lets you add icons for the most popular social networks to your sidebar or other widget area. The icons are linked to your social media profiles, giving your readers access to your latest status updates.”

    So does one need a profile on these things?

    I found the answer – one does have to have accounts with those things to use the buttons or widgets. No thank you.
