Question About Tabs & Redirect (Cosmetic Issue)
-
I added an automatic redirect to my Facebook Message Board on the upper Tab of my blog using the following code:
In doing so, a “strip” of grey was added to the top of the tab, throwing everything out of whack. The tabs are no longer aligned with the top of the page. Any suggestions of how to remedy this situation?
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

The trick of adding hyperlinks to tabs only works cleanly in some themes. MistyLook is not one of them: http://wpbtips.wordpress.com/2009/03/26/page-tabs-as-external-links/ .

Effectively that is what you are doing when you use the trick outlined in the page I linked to. There is no way to edit the entire permalink and point it to another page or site though.

Okay, thanks! The next question: Is there anyway that I can edit the permalink to the home page so that they are ALL goofy, but look the same? I can’t find anyway of editing the home page.

No there is not. Even if you had the CSS upgrade, I think it would be near impossible to make the other tabs look like the other one. The other one is the way it is due to an error in the theme where it gets confused when it encounters a hyperlink in a page title.

If I could make that text widget a Tab across the top of my blog, that would be great but I don’t think I can do that.

Thanks so much for your help. I guess I’ll just probably stick with a link from the page itself.

“If I could make that text widget a Tab across the top of my blog”…
Well, you can, but it’s very complicated. I’m not at my home computer now, so I can’t work it out for you now; maybe some other moment.

Please don’t hijack threads! It makes things confusing.
Anyway, the only theme with drop-down menus is INove.
