Question About the Feasibility of a Chatbot for a WordPress Website

I hope this message finds you well. I am reaching out to inquire about the feasibility of integrating a custom AI-powered chatbot into a WordPress website.
We are a student-led club at the Simon Fraser University based on Vancouver Canada, currently engaged in developing an AI chatbot for a client. Our client’s website is hosted on WordPress, and we are exploring the possibility of customizing and embedding a REST-based chatbot into their site. We are particularly interested in creating a chatbot that functions similarly to the one on your website.
Could you provide us with information on whether this integration is feasible and, if so, any guidance or requirements necessary for implementing such a solution on a WordPress platform? are there any documentations/ tools that we can or should be using to help the development of the bot?

A quick note is we were thinking of adding the backend with the Python Flask or Possibly Django, since Python works well with other AI tools for development. Are there any concerns or suggestions around that?
