Question about the premium themes

  Hi all !

  I am currently using WP through OVH (and wanted to try throug WP), and at that time I could upload a theme from my computer thank to my WP back office from OVH……

  Why is this function not available from the dashboard (I read it would not appear eventhough I choose an upgrade) ? I am obliged to buy a premium theme offered in the list ? Because I have a premium theme, bought on ThemeForest, that I’d loved to try by being hosting on WP directly…….. Is it possible to install it manually (do I have FTP access for example) ?

  Because of the way WordPress.com’s technical infrastructure is designed, we are not able to support uploading of custom WordPress themes on our service

  We do not allow FTP (File Transfer Protocol) access to any WordPress.com blogs.

  In fact the wordpress.org version is may be better for me……. I choose a new host (because OVH seems to upgrade WP strangely) and I will have the following possibilities:
  – upload of a theme from a computer
  – download of new plugins

  Is bluehost up to date with the latest WP version ?

  You will have to ask bluehost. Usually with independent web hosts YOU are responsible for installing and updating your blog software.
