Question about transfer of domain name

    I have a domain name and website. I want to look at WordPress for possible transfer of my domain. Can I create a website to see how it looks before actually transferring my domain name?

    I don’t have a site with WordPress.com yet

    Of course! You’re welcome to create your new site with us before pointing the domain here. That way your current site can stay “live” until your new one is ready. You’ll have a temp/underlying domain to work with.

    I do recommend getting a plan earlier on if you’ll need it, since they have other features you might find useful, including direct support:
    https://wordpress.com/plans

    Then just avoid using the domain options until you’re ready, and then you can connect or transfer the domain.
