Question about transfering the ownership of a site

  Hi,

  I read the following instruction regarding how to transfer a site to another wordpress account:

  However, I can’t find anywhere to do the first two steps.

  Regarding “Step 1: Add the New Owner”, I logged on my site as an administrator, navigated to Users –>ALl users, but unable to see the Team tab and the “Add a team member” button.

  Regarding “Step 2 Start the Transfer”, I navigated to Settings -> General, but can’t see the “Site tools” section and the “Transfer your site” option at all.

  Could you please advise if I am reading the correct instruction? Thanks.

  These instructions are only for sites running on the wordpress.com platform not for self-hosted sites. So to be sure you are talking about a site running on the wordpress.com platform: what is the URL of the site you are trying to transfer.

  Can you provide the URL of the site you want to transfer along with the two accounts you want to transfer the site to and from? We’ll be happy to confirm the steps you’ll need to take. As @staartmees mentioned, the instructions only apply to WordPress.com-hosted sites. We’ll be able to assist with this, assuming the site you want to transfer is under your account. Let us know.
