Question about upgrading to pro

Add topic to favorites
I wanted to upgrade to Pro, but see on that upgrade page no option to get a domain name before paying, and I certainly don’t want to pay without being sure that I get my name.

How to proceed?

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

It all depends on whether that domain is still available or not.

Hi there,

You can go to Upgrades → Domains.

Click on the upper right button + Add Domain and select Search for a domain.

Then you can type in the domain you’re interested in. If it’s available then you can proceed to registering the domain and upgrading to the WordPress Pro plan.

Thanks! I checked it, but can you only get a .com extension, not a country extension?

Hi there,

If you type in the domain and it’s not available for purchase through WordPress.com then you can purchase the domain through another domain registrar.

You can then connect or transfer that same domain to WordPress.com.
