Question about URL name

So I recently decided to go with iPage for hosting and I’m already starting to regret my decision.

I have a question about the domain, I registered
    benengineered.com
as my domain for the website and it works fine. However, every time I go to a page or link elsewhere in the site, it changes to a subdomain as
    benengineered.ipage.com/whatevert
and I find this extremely annoying as I like everything clean and minimal. Is there anyway I can remove or hide the ipage part of the url?

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

    Correction:
    It shows up as
    benengineeredcom.ipage.com
the first part is actually my login id for ipage, i don’t want that to be displayed. I want everything to simply be
    benengineered.com/blog
    etc etc.

This is WordPress.COM and we don’t provide iPage hosted blog support here. Go to Google search and locate the ipage support link please.

I already did. That’s why I’m asking here.

iPage doesn’t mention anything about the URL. There’s no forum for iPage specificly. I did a google search for iPage and the URL and I didn’t really see anything that explains why it happens .

I just figured that since there are tons of WordPress people on iPages, they’d probably already know the answer.

Wrong and again, this is WordPress.com forum, for blogs hosted here.

WordPress.COM and WordPress.ORG are completely separate and different http://support.wordpress.com/com-vs-org/

If you don’t have a username account at WordPress.ORG click http://wordpress.org/support/ and register one on the top right hand corner of the page that opens, so you can post to the support forums there and receive advice from WordPress.ORG bloggers.

Oh that was my mistake. I wasn’t paying attention to the difference.

I finally fixed the problem, the general setting under WordPress. I missed it before. Sorry for posting here in the wrong place.

No to worry as you will know where to post next time. Best wishes with your site.
