Question for sales about pricing/plugins

    Hi,

I’ve been trying to find an answer, but unfortunately, there’s no “contact us” link that I can find. Hopefully, someone from WP.com can help me out here.

I’m trying to setup a new webpage for an organization. We don’t need a lot bells and whistles, so I was hoping to be able to go with the Personal or Premium plan. However, I did not see the option to install plugins in those two categories. Does that mean I would be unable to install ANY plugins or are there some that WP is providing that I could use? If so, which ones would those be?

I really like the business plan, but our budget is unfortunately, only $200/yr and that has to include a domain transfer+registration.

Do you maybe offer package deals between WP hosting + domain hosting or a multi year deal that would get us down to $200 per year?

    Thanks!

    Sam

    Hi there!

I’ll be happy to answer your questions. :)

While plugins and third-party themes can only be installed on the WordPress.com Business and Commerce plans, we include many features on all plan levels that don’t require any plugins.

For example, on a regular WordPress.org site (hosted elsewhere), you’d need a plugin to use features like Google Analytics, sharing buttons, automatically posting to social media sites like Facebook and X, adding payment buttons to collect payments, etc.

However, each of those features is available on WordPress.com plans without the need for any plugins.

If you have specific needs, feel free to let me know, and I can verify and tell you if those specific features are available on a WordPress.com plan. :)

The WordPress.com Business plan is one of our best offerings. It not only includes high-performance hosting capabilities with advanced features like real-time automatic backups with one-click restores, SFTP, staging sites, edge caches, security scanning, and more.

I understand your budget concerns. As you guessed, we have multi-year plans that will give you significant savings.

I suggest choosing the 3-year plan, which will cost you $630. You’ll pay this upfront, but it comes down to $210 per year, which is a considerable saving compared to the yearly cost of $300.

The domain registration cost is included in the price for the first year only. From the second year onwards, you’ll pay the domain renewal fee separately.

I understand it goes slightly over your $200/year budget, but I wonder if it will work for you. Let me know if you have any further questions about any of this. :)
