Question: Migration Hosting with existing WP website

    Hi There,

    I currently have a website which I have created on WP but its hosted on GoDaddy. Im interested in the Personal Plan and Not sure what the process is to migrate my site from GoDaddy to WP hosting. I’ll transfer the domain too.

    I’m not super tech savy but can figure out few things. Since the site was created in WP is is as simple as downloading some plugin and hosting to WordPress or is it more complicated that that?

    Please advise or explain the process. Thanks!

    Or, if your site has important themes and plugins, you will want to use the Business Plan here. Then you can use a plugin like All in One Migration to move everything over. If you’re not sure whether that’s necessary, let us know your site URL and we’ll take a look. Cheers!

    Hi There,

    It’s basically a personal portfolio site i only use if I’m seeking a new job. I’ve already used a theme called ‘Divi’. Its all set up but its not a site for business or requires regular or heavy traffic. Only meant to look at when I either sent the link or if a recruiter find its via linked in.

    Is this something that would work with the $4 personal plan for hosting?

    Not with Divi, unfortunately. We can only allow outside plugins and themes with our Business plan, as outside features increase our costs for support, maintenance, and infrastructure.

    You would be welcome to set up a site with built-in features, though, and use that with a Personal plan (all plans are charged yearly, by the way). It wouldn’t work exactly like the Divi enabled site, but you can get a very similar look.
