Question on "Stay" Theme
-
hi justpi –
thanks for directing me to customize and giving me the code. i opted to take the word out all together. can you tell me how to get rid of the squares on the lower left hand corner of the slider?
within the pages, i can not figure out how to get rid of the search bar on the left side of the page. i’d like the top image on each page to stretch from left to right with no sidebar where the top image is.
also you say i can manipulate things to display the “rooms” in two or three columns. how do i do this?
i’ll try that last question again after i get these figured out.
thank you!

also, i’d like to put the “my community” widget on my contact page and not on any other page. how do i select which page the widget shows up on?
-
@emilychaffee : in your widget, you have “visibility options” that allows to show on hide on the pages you want.
-
@emilychaffee : you can remove the search bar by removing the search widget from the main sidebar.

hi @elisedesaulniers – thank you for your support. i found the visibility options and that worked. i have removed the search bar from the main sidebar and it is still showing up. any ideas?

Try to replace the search widget by a text widget with just a space in the content. Often, it’s enough :)
-
justpi, thanks for the code to change the slider button colors. Can you also provide code to change the Rooms “header” – when I set the background to black, the grays just don’t show well at all.
-
hi @elisedesaulniers – that works to take out the search bar but i still have the large margin/sidebar. i want my top image to stretch from left to right of the screen. you can see what i’m working on here: http://emilychaffee.com/mountain/
on june 21 justpi left the comment:
a) If you have the Custom Design upgrade, you can remove the sidebars, and you can manipulate things to display the “rooms” in two or three columns.
i got the custom design upgrade, now i need to know the steps to remove the sidebars and display the rooms in 2 or 3 columns. can anyone help with this?
thanks!

actually this is a better example to look at: http://emilychaffee.com/25-2/ i want the top image to stretch from left to right with no sidebar, and below that i want to or 3 columns of “rooms” (photos)

hi i got an answer to this question. it didn’t work for me because it reduced the image quality. but in case anyone else wants the image on their pages to span left to right with no sidebar the code is:
#secondary {
display: none;
}#content {
padding-left: 0;
}.hentry .attachment-feat-img {
width: 100%;
}from this thread
@justpi – i tried what you said in order to have a thumbnail on my parent page “marsh” and the actual full size image when you click in for a closer look on “marsh 1”.
c) …try setting the image as a featured image as well as inserting it as a full-width image so I can see what happens.
this is what happened: http://emilychaffee.com/room/marsh-02/ do you know how i can get a thumbnail and just the one properly proportioned image?

Hello
I have the same problem with the reservation widget for german language.
hello, i am using the stay theme, switched to german language. but some strings are still showing up in english, for example “adults”, “children”, “arrival”, “departure” in the reservation widget,
how can i enable a german translation for these strings as well?
A answer would be really nice!!!
Thanks
