Question: Premium Themes and Free Plan

  Hi,

  Can I purchase a premium theme and have full customize control over it if I am using the free plan or do I have to upgrade to the premium plan?

  The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  Hi there,

  If you’re looking for the Custom Design features, those are only included in the Premium plan. Purchasing a premium theme without that plan does not add those custom design features — in that case, you can use the premium theme as designed by the theme creator with its built-in features.

  Hi, I have upgraded to the premium plan for £84 so I could use the theme organizationtheme but it is still making me purchase this theme for $52. Is this correct?

  With WordPress.com Premium, you get the following features:

  • Domain Name & Mapping
  • Space Upgrade
  • No Ads
  • Custom Design
  • VideoPress

  Premium themes like the Organization theme you mentioned aren’t included in that plan, so you’ll need to purchase those separately if you’d like to get them for your site. (You can also get unlimited premium themes as a feature in the Business plan, so you can use any premium theme with that plan at no extra cost.)
