Question: Re-importing Tumblr blog into Word Press

    Hello,

    I am new to Word Press and think I figured out why my initial import from Tumblr was unsuccesful and I want to try the import again. However, I cannot find how to overwite the existing one and start a new import from Tumblr, short of deleting my entire Word Press account and starting again but that seems completely unnecessary.

    There must be some simple way to try re-importing my entire Tumblr blog but I cannot find a tab on the Tumblr import page. The status says “completed / finished” even though there are 0 posts it imported and there appears to be no option to do a fresh import (or even an updated import).

    Can anybody tell me how I redo the Tumblr import into Word Press?

    Also, I’d love to find a link about how to easily upload existing content from my computer into my Word Press blog.

    Hi 54balsamart,

    I see what you mean, no content has been imported. Please try running another import:

    Import from Tumblr

    If it seems to take a while, please be patient and don’t try cancelling the process yourself – we’re still experiencing a high volume of imports from Tumblr at the moment causing a backlog of pending imports in our system. The imports are being run in the order they are submitted but I’m unable to give an estimate how long it will take.

    Please reply in this thread if you have any more trouble.
