Question Re Upgrading Subscription

    Hi WP – I am thinking of upgrading my free subscription to a paid subscription. I see that I can link to a web address I own (which currently directs readers to my wordpress site). If I upgrade and get a new personal web address, will people with the old free wordpress address (or clicking on old links to my blog) still get taken to my new address? In other words, I don’t want to upgrade, get a new email address, and then have to start over with people who may have bookmarked my old WP address or find a ‘old’ link to the blog that uses the free WP address. I hope that makes sense. Thanks! Sterling Miller

  • Hi Sterling! Indeed, when you attach a custom domain to your site, visitors who type in your “.wordpress.com” address will still end up being directed to the custom domain – they’ll end up in the right place.
