Question related to publicize while using post be email

    Hello,

    I am facing an issue with the publicise feature in connection with post via email.

    When I post via email with status “draft” or “pending review” and then publish the post by updating the post status in the wp-admin, the post is published but not publicized. Whereas, when I post with status “published” via email, the post is published and publicized as well.

    So (scenario 1)…
    [status draft]
    [publicize twitter facebook]some text here[/publicize]
    … does not publicize the post upon publish, even when the relevant checkboxes in the post edit page are tick marked. Neither does it publicize upon any number of subsequent updates of the same post.

    Whereas (scenario 2)…
    [status published]
    [publicize twitter facebook]some text here[/publicize]
    … does the job.

    Since I do not want to publish and publicize straight away after posting via email, I would like scenario 1 to work rather than scenario 2.

    Is this the intended function? Or is there something else I need to do in order for scenario 1 to work?
