Questionable referrer

  This appeared under my list of referrers – http://158.28.226.47:15871/cgi-bin/blockOptions.cgi?ws-session=707129321.
  Is this a breach of my blog security? I don’t understand what it means.

  No, that wouldn’t be a breach of security. A Referrer is just the URL location of where a visitor clicked a link to visit your blog, like https://en.forums.wordpress.com/topic/questionable-referrer-2 would appear if they click your blog’s link above.

  Nothing malicious can be done via a Referrer.

  My best guess is probably someone’s personal webmail or feed reader hosted on an IP instead of a domain name.

  Thanks mac, I guess the “blockOptions” part kind of unsettled me a little. I’ll now try to get my paranoia under control . :)
