  how can you make this happen.

  I do not want adverts on my post pages.

  I think you will find that everything is working correctly and if anyone did type the .wordpress.com address they would be redirected.

  Hey there –

  You’ll be able to remove ads as one of the features on the premium plan which you’ve already purchased. Would you like me to connect your domain to that plan? I think that’s what is causing the confusion with which site address is seen in the browser bar. The domain needs connected to the hosting plan to work seamlessly.
