I was able to put my posts into columns by starting a new post. Is this how to use this block? Please tell me if I am able to change my current posts and pages into columns without creating a new page or post. I did not see the option to change the width of the column.

Yes. This is how you use it.

You can edit them and use the Columns block. You need to devote a bit of time playing around with that block to get a feel of how things work.
I did not see the option to change the width of the column.

I know how to add the column block but I don’t know how to add the content of the post into columns.
No, as mentioned, that is not possible on your theme.

I can add the columns to the pages or posts and get the + sign once I get the + I don’t know how to select the text I want to change into the columns. For example, if I want to change the first 2 or 3 paragraphs into a column how do I select those paragraphs to do so?

I have tried to follow the support article but am missing something to make the columns work.

When you hit the plus button (+) you need to insert a Paragraph block so that you can enter text. The same thing applies for all other blocks. You can see how all that works if you watch the video in that support document.

Do the 33 33 33 option and those other options make the columns look even? By even I mean for example if I had example.com on one line the next line is line.com would each of those lines show on individual lines instead of two or three lines depending on the length of the website address?
Please tell me where on the page I need to click on for me to be able to make adjustments to a block. For example if I wanted to change the size of one of the columns of three columns where do I click the mouse to select only one of the columns. This is something I have not learned how to do all of the time.
I changed the page back to a draft page so I could experiment with columns. The page I am using was my websites worth visiting page.

That option is simply the three columns option. Select the columns block (the overall columns block, not an individual column block) and you’ll see the option to change the number of columns in the sidebar:

Changing the number of columns will make the columns the same width. But whether or not the content you add to the column will appear on a single line or split across multiple lines will depend on the length of the text you add to a line.
For example if I wanted to change the size of one of the columns of three columns where do I click the mouse to select only one of the columns.
To select an individual column, click just above or below the column content:
To select the overall columns block, click between the individual columns.
