Questions about a second website

    I have a personal site I used for school. I now need to create a second website for a business my husband and I own. That business already has a current website we want to replace, but keep the same web address. My questions are:
    1. Can I create a second website under my same email address that will be a PAID site?
    2. What is the process for using the address/domain name of our current business website (www.freshandhealthyliving.com)?

    Hi Lauren,

    You can create multiple sites under one account, and you can both paid plans as well as free plans.

    You have a couple of different options for using your existing domain. Both of these options require an upgraded WordPress.com plan.

    You can map your domain to the WordPress.com site you will build, keeping it registered with 1&1. Directions for domain mapping are below:

    You can also transfer your domain to WordPress.com and everything is managed in the same place. Directions for transferring a domain name:

    Noting too, @laurenbaumarendt, many people like to build a site before moving the domain over. You’d be welcome to do that.

    You could also create a second account if you’d like to keep the school and business separate, just in case.
