Questions about closing account

  My site with hostgator has been infected and was blacklisted by google for phishing. My blog on wordpress shows the same red screen warning as it was linked to my website. I cannot afford to have anyone fix it for me at the moment, so I am hoping that deleting the account will help shut it down for further attack or anyone else getting infected by visiting it. Will that work?
