Questions about Custom Domain & Subdomain

    Hello,

    We have purchased a custom domain “example.jp” and mapped it with our example.wordpress.com site which is now example.jp

    Since we want to have two languages, we intend to have a subdomain using tw.example.jp which would be the same content but in Chinese under the main domain. My question is how should I proceed with it?

    I’ve already mapped the tw.example.jp to example.jp (originally example.wordpress.com), but I don’t see anywhere on dashboard allowing me to edit content for the subdomain (tw.example.jp)?

    Wondering if I should’ve created another wordpress.com site and mapped tw.example.com to that site instead to create the second language content?

    That is exactly what you’d need to do. Every domain or subdomain that you map to a site will only display that one site.
    So, if you’d like to have completely different content on the subdomain, you’ll need another site with that content.

    Another option would be to use a translation plugin and create a multilingual site. This, however, would require plan Business.
