Questions about Highwind Theme
-
In the theme at the top there is a aqua type blue-ish background with a round picture of a wind surfer in the middle.
Question 1: Can the blue-ish background be made a picture without using HTML, ie; is there a edit icon of the pencil and when I click it I can upload a photo for that back ground?
2: Same question about the round photo in the center.
3. Above the background the words Home, HTML and a few others from left to right…. is this supposed to be where your menu of
“About” “Links” “Photos” “Archives” etc. would be located and again, is it simply point and click to create menu item topics?
I am a beginner/novice that has no HTML skills. I appreciate your help in advance.
Happy New Year…. Kevin

Hi Kevin,
Happy New Year!1. “Can the blue-ish background be made a picture without using HTML…?”
Yes. The default blue background in the header area can be replaced by a custom header image, at Customize > Header Image.2. “Same question about the round photo in the center.”
Yes. That’s the site logo. If you don’t set one, then no logo will display. The site logo can be set at Customize > Theme Options.3. That’s a custom menu. See the Custom Menus support page.
“…again, is it simply point and click to create menu item topics?”
No, it’s not quite that easy. See the Additional menu items section, and other related sections, of the Custom Menus support page, for instructions on adding menu items. -
