Questions about Hosting and Plans
-
Hi.
I have some questions about the hosting service in wordpress.com. Can you help me?
1. If I create a blog here with Premium Plan, I’m going to have access to file adminstrator, database adminsitrator, email administrator, and ssl access? Or is only to WordPress admin?
2. I read your rules about mature content. I write stories (like tales or novel). 90% of my stories are family friendly, but some have a I little of erotic content. So, my question is, is only one of my stories have that content, I need to mark my entire blog as ‘Mature Content’?
3. Can I have a second blog in a subdomian in premium plan? For example, my core blog in http://www.blog.com and my second blog like other.blog.com? And, in reference to the previous question, that http://www.blog.com was total family friendly but other.blog.com was Mature Content?
4. Can I start building the blog with the free package, giving all their appearance and design, and then when you are ready to migrate all Premium? Or Free package is limited with some functions?
Thanks.
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

There is no FTP or email server access on WordPress.com. The Premium Plan adds features to your site as explained at the link @timethief provided, but you will still only be able to do what is allowed on My Sites and WP-Admin. SSL is added to your site automatically and there are no settings to configure it or disable it.
2. I read your rules about mature content. I write stories (like tales or novel). 90% of my stories are family friendly, but some have a I little of erotic content. So, my question is, is only one of my stories have that content, I need to mark my entire blog as ‘Mature Content’?
If you have erotic content on your site we’d prefer if you report your site as mature so that content won’t show up in Reader searches and other public areas of WordPress.com. I’d suggest at the very least password-protecting posts like that, but your site might still be set to mature even if you do that.
3. Can I have a second blog in a subdomian in premium plan? For example, my core blog in http://www.blog.com and my second blog like other.blog.com?
A plan only applies to one site. You can have one site at the root domain and another site at a subdomain, but it will be two separate sites, and each site will need its own Premium Plan should you want Premium on both.
If you have erotic content on only one of the two sites, only that site will need to be set to mature.
4. Can I start building the blog with the free package, giving all their appearance and design, and then when you are ready to migrate all Premium?
You can build your site on the free plan, yes, and upgrade to Premium at any time you want. Upgrading does not affect your content, and you can have a fully functional site on the free plan. Premium just adds extra features, but you don’t need Premium to build a site on WordPress.com.
