questions about monotone photo theme

i really like this theme but i don’t like the colour changing. it is described as ‘customizable colours’, is there a way to set the background to white ALL THE TIME?
Alternately, are there any other themes that are designed to show only one post at a time?

Not a problem at all. Maybe consider linking your username to your blog? That way we don’t have to wait for you to come back and answer. The “how-to” is in the sticky “8 things” at the top of the forum.
Now, Monotone. http://faq.wordpress.com/2008/05/26/monotone-theme-questions/ The theme was designed to automatically create the background color for your image based on the colors in your uploaded photo. That’s what it does, so, no, it’s not possible to have the theme have only a white background all the time. (This is actually rather ironic because there’s been a problem with Monotone for the past week or so where it wasn’t generating the background color at all, which has now been fixed.)
But there are other themes that you can use for photoblogs. I’m using The Journalist, which has a white background. There are others. Have a look in the Design>Theme and preview the various themes.
As far as setting your blog to show only one post at a time, you can do this with any theme. Go to your Dashboard>Settings>Reading> Blog Pages Show at Most XX posts and set it to 1. Save your changes. That’s it. :)
