Questions about the benefits of upgrading my site

    I want people to be able to register for classes or make appointments and pay for them through my site. Will I be able to do that if I upgrade from .org to .com? I have not been able to figure out how to do it with the .org tools that I have. Will I be able to talk to an engineer who can help me figure out how to do this if I upgrade to a .com site?

    As per your requirements, I would recommend you to keep using the self-hosted version of WordPress instead of migrating to WordPress.com. My two cents.

    It sounds like a self hosted WordPress.org site would give you the flexibility you need to create these features.

    On WordPress.com, you can use PayPal buttons to sell individual items, which directs your readers to a PayPal payment screen. However, on WordPress.org, you can use the WooCommerce plugin to add
    eCommerce functionality — which integrates seamlessly into your site.
