Questions for getting started.

I’m needing some very basic information, and would like to find forum support for getting started with wordpress.COM I already have a website, but would like to move that site to wordpress and a different host, but keep my current web address of http://www.michael-zimmer.com. I’m not finding this information anywhere. It would be great to build a site on wordpress before changing hosts and launching a new site with a wordpress themed template. Where can I go for help with this, and I’m sure other issues, to get started. Thank you.

You can set your site up on WordPress.com and when it is ready you can point your domain name to it.
