Questions on plans and domain name

    Hi, I went through several forum topics and other info tidbits regarding wordpress plans, and I have a few questions:
    1. Does getting a premium plan mean I can use ads from both google adsense and wordads?
    2. For the first year, is there ANY EXTRA CHARGE except the 5$ per month for premium plan?
    3. I think that every month premium plan costs 5$ and no other charges, but after 1 year, what is the cost for domain name, hosting, and other charges that had been free in 1st year?
    4. How much does wordads pay per 1000 VIEWS (yea, i don’t mean clicks, i am asking about views)?
    5. If after 2 months, I feel that this plan doesn’t suit me, and I cancel the plan, domain, everything, will me and my readers still be able to access the website or some version of it?
    6. If after 2 months, I feel that I want to go back to free, will you keep charging me for whole year, even if I cancel both plan and the domain?

    I am quite interested in premium plan since I get a decent number of views per month, but I would really appreciate it if you could clarify these points for me.

    Hi there, let me answer in the order you gave:
    1. If you upgrade to Premium plan, you will be eligible for the WordAds program as soon as you add a custom domain to your WordPress.com site. WordAds includes ads from a number of vendors, but you cannot run your own advertising. https://en.support.wordpress.com/monetize-your-site/

    2. There are no monthly payment plans. All upgrade plans are paid in full at check out. That might be one or two years depending on what is available there.

    3. All plans include a custom domain registration for the first year. At renewal you’ll pay for your selected TLD (top level domain) and your plan separately. You can see the available TLDs and their cost on this page https://en.support.wordpress.com/domains/domain-pricing-and-available-tlds/ Domain mapping is included in every plan and renewal regardless.

    4. WordAds earnings are variable. It can take many thousands of impressions to make any money from WordAds as advertising rates fluctuate. If you have more questions about WordAds, please refer to the FAQ at https://wordads.co/faq/

    5. If you cancel your plan after 2 months, your site visitors will be able to view your site at its free mysite.wordpress.com address. Change that to your Primary address in your domains dashboard. If you’ve used a Premium theme included in the Premium plan, your theme will revert to a free theme automatically and any CSS customizations will be removed.

    6. The plan is annual so if you cancel it after 2 months, it will continue to run until it expires. However, you won’t be eligible for a refund. The refund period is 30 days from date of purchase with the exception of custom domain registrations, which need to be cancelled within 48 hours of purchase in order to be eligible for a refund.
