Questions regarding changing category.

I have two questions regarding changing category names:
1. I have an existing category PROGRAMMING, the slug for which is programming-2 is I probably tried adding both a tag and category with the same name as a WordPress newbie once. I deleted the tag long back but the current link to the category is:
http://oldpapyrus.wordpress.com/category/programming-2/How do I change it to:
http://oldpapyrus.wordpress.com/category/programming/2. I have another category REVIEWS which I want to rename to MOVIES. As per my understanding, the slug will change to ‘movies’ too. Will the new link
http://oldpapyrus.wordpress.com/category/movies/redirect to the old link (for example when visited from Google search results)
http://oldpapyrus.wordpress.com/category/reviews/when I rename the category?
