  I opened up a free wordpress account but I’ve changed my mind, I’m going to get hosting through hostgator and if I’m not mistaken a premium wordpress account comes with that. I want to use the email address that I just signed up with today with the new account but I don’t want to wait 30 days to be able to use it…what recourse do I have? Thanks

  There’s some confusion here between running your own stand alone WordPress installation with a separate hosting provider and what happens here at WordPress.com.

  Those details are highlighted here, please take a look:

  WordPress.com vs. WordPress.org

  On WordPress.com (here), regardless of your plan, you do not need to provide or pay for separate hosting. We take care of that for you. If you are running your own WordPress installation you will need a host – but you would not need a WordPress.com plan at all.
