Quick question about domain names

  I can’t seem to find what I need. My blog is http://www.mediocretoxicity.com. I still have a subscription for another six or seven months. My question is this: Can I change my domain name under this subscription? Or should I cancel this one and create a new one?

  Hi there!

  When you register a domain name, the exact name itself is what you are purchasing. What that means is that you are buying the right to have your site at that name for one year. For example, if you accidentally registered examplle.com, you couldn’t change that domain itself to example.com. The same thing applies when you want to use a new domain name – you would have to purchase another domain for another year.

  To use your new domain as your primary domain, you would just need to choose it under Store -> Domains and click the “update primary domain” button.
