Quitting
-
I am running Word Press 2.8.0 on a Mac on OS 10.12.6, and just cannot get it to quit. The only way to shut it down is with a force quit. Am I missing something obvious?

Hi there,
Do you need to Force Quit, or just right-click ->Quit? The latter is normal – closing the app doesn’t quit it but it keeps running in the background. You need to explicitly quit it if you want to do that.
I’ve never needed to force quit it, though, and I also have 2.8.0 on Mac OS 10.12.6. Can you try removing and re-installing the app? There might also be a process from a different app on your computer that’s causing a conflict.

Quit, not close. Quitting from the menu doesn’t always work.
Although I have noticed that it sometimes takes a very long time – several minutes. If you can’t quit, leave it some time, and then try again, you can.

It works for me, from the menu and using Cmd-Q, so it’s probably a process from another app on your computer interfering. It could also be a RAM issue. Neither of those are something we can really troubleshoot here, though.

I don’t think it’s RAM. It’s probably another process interfering then. Oh well, I can live with it.

Nerdfornews I’m just talking about quitting the app; I assume you’re talking about closing your account? Sorry, I can’t help there.
