Quotation marks aren't facing the right direction.
-
The single and double quotation marks in my header aren’t facing the right direction. I have a quotation I’m using in my header and the initial curled quotation marks face the wrong direction. I’ve tried deleting it, retyping it, remove spaces, adding spaces, etc. and nothing has corrected the problem. The website is moveable-feasts.com.

Stephanie, I apologize for the late reply. I have been looking into this issue for you. I see that you currently have removed the quotation marks from your tagline. Are you satisfied with this solution, or would you prefer to adjust back to your original layout with curly quotation marks? Let me know and I can continue troubleshooting this issue for you accordingly. Many thanks!

Thanks so much for your reply. Yes, I would still like to include quotation marks. I removed them to “fix” the problem for the time being, but I would like them to be there. It should read as follows:
“…to the ‘good life,’ whatever it is and wherever it happens to be.” -HST
I just tried going to my customize screen and entering the quotation marks and I’m still having the same problem — it looks correct in the preview screen but they’re flipped the wrong direction when I make the changes live.
Thanks for any help you can offer!

Hi there! I took the liberty of making the adjustment so your quotes appear in the correct fashion.
First, take a look at your homepage in your browser and make sure everything is ok.
Then, you can view the change I made by clicking Appearance → Customize in your Dashboard. Then click Site Title. Notice that I used HTML code to represent your open/close quotations:
“ …to the good life, whatever it is and wherever it happens to be.” – HST
I hope this solution suits you! Please do let me know if you have any other questions at all. Thank you so much for your patience. All the best!

Brilliant! Thanks SO much for your help! I know it was a tiny detail, but it was really important to me. :)

I don’t blame you — I would want the correct formatting, too! So glad it worked out. Cheers!
